I'm definitely hitting up the National.
Downloaded the new CD from iTunes this morning. After a listen (or 5) on the drive from Charleston to Asheville, I would definitely recommend spending the $9.99. I am SO jealous of those of you who get to see them...

On the Mixtec thing...if you can name one restaurant that does not have a rat issue in AM you are lucky. It was not a rat...it was one single mouse and they immediately shut down and fixed it...unlike many others that will shut down and do nothing.
Sorry to jump on you just sad that this is still being discussed...it was two months ago.
And FYI, the brunch at Mixtec isn't new. They've been open for breakfast, lunch and brunch 7 days a week for years, which is much, much more than can be said for 90 % of the places in Adams Morgan that claim to be restaurants....
How about every restaurant that passes their health inspection? I know there are rats in the neighborhood, but rats in the restaurant are a different story.
Then you explain the sign that says "now open for brunch" that wasn't there a few weeks ago. What's up with the Mixtec defenders? That place sucks. I wish they would shut it down for good and put in a place that serves mexican food that is edible and not overpriced.
If you've never had their Churrasco de Ratón con Frijoles, you can hardly say that the food is inedible. Mm. Ratsteak.
