Vick Can Go To Hell and Die

If any of the allegations of dog torture made in the indictment of Michael Vick and his co-defendants are even remotely true, he should be summarily fired by the Falcons.  The words "despicable" and "disgusting" don't even begin to describe what kind of person would engage in that behavior.  If I were his teammate, I wouldn't be able to look him in the eye.  I expect professional athletes to get caught doing drugs or roughing up a hooker, but I can't believe someone with that much money would spend it on a venture so completely base and barbarian.  I guess money really can't buy class.  Or a soul, for that matter.

As for his co-defendants, I hope they take it doggie style in jail for the maximum term.  Fucking pieces of shit.

The last two sentences could be read as contradictory, which I find quite amusing.

Sure, roughing up a hooker is cool--but a dog? God, no!! Not a dog!!

I'm pretty sure RCR never advocated roughing up anyone; but regardless, one wonders why neckro is so eager to defend animal torture.

I would say I was defending animal torture as much as RCR was advocating roughing up hookers. Point is it's a bad comparison--whichever way it cuts. The fact that we're more appalled by dog fighting than we are by soliciting prostitutes, driving drunk or shootouts in strip club parking lots says a lot about how desensitized we've become to athletes transgressions in general.

That said, RCR, if you want to rough up some hookers, I'm game.

I actually completely missed the part in RCR's original post about the hookers; sorry. Of course you're right that abusing people is worse, in some sense, but there is something particularly disturbing about abusing animals for entertainment. If Michael Vick was running some kind of prostitute gladiatorial arena in his house then that, certainly, would be bad.

Anyone remember Ray Lewis? He was charged with murder a few years back, then delighted us all with his dancing prior to Super Bowl XXXV in the same year.

Unfortunately for Vick, we love dogs more than we do people.

(this is not a disagreement towards the sentiment of RCR's post. I agree with what he is saying 100%...I guess my point is, either don't be surprised to see Vick doing a victory dance on a football field not long after this is over with, or, be surprised if he gets 10 yrs).

I didn't say I advocate roughing up hookers, I just expect it. It's always just shocking when the wealthy and privileged break new boundaries of depravity.

That said, I sincerely advocate roughing up hookers.
